Gypsies and cattle herds on the highway in traffic, and vehicles packed and overflowing with people. Yes, this is India! Sonu took me to meet his family today, and they served us lunch. Their home is in a farm village a three-hour drive from Delhi. It's difficult to get to, involving pot holes and one-lane roads. Eighteen family members live together on the same property, and Sonu hadn't visited in six months. Hugs for him, and bowing in welcome to me, they were very happy to see the returning son and his American friend.
