Yom Kippur is really a rather
solemn holiday for Jewish people, the Day of Atonement. But something special happens on the streets
of Tel Aviv, not the most religious of Israeli cities. No cars are driven, so people young and old
take to the streets, many on bicycles and scooters, and with their dogs. I wouldn’t say it’s a party or celebration, but there’s a wonderful sense of family, community and sharing. And we were happy to be a part of it!
