When it comes to biodiversity, Madagascar is like no place else on the planet. It's been called 'The Eighth Continent', but I think it's more like 'The Land that Time Forgot'. The lemurs definitely epitomize it all. I saw eight very different species, and that's just scratching the surface. Some look like monkeys, and others more like bears. And remember, lemurs are not found anywhere else other than in Madagascar! They're graceful and agile, causing exclamations and laughing from us as they spring from tree to tree. And they do a lot of watching, seemingly as curious about as us as we are about them.
