Cross country and back! After 31 days; 7,208 miles; 289 gallons of gas; 23 states (plus D.C.);19 'lodgings'; and visits with 16 friends or relatives, I'm back in Newport Beach. I'll miss my afternoon snack of $1 caramel sundaes at McDonalds; the wide-open highway horizons, and anticipating what's next. All along the way I wished I had more time, but it was one great adventure. And, yes, it's good to be home . . .
