It doesn't always happen; sometimes we just get part of it done. But, as you can see from the first two photos(before and after), we completed the whole job this time. We built a house! There was a dedication ceremony today where the new owners got their keys. We all left our shoes at the door, as is the tradition here, and sat together inside. It was 25 of us in total in that little house! What a powerful and emotional time, as we shared our thoughts about the house and the experience of building it. Then we moved outside for some refreshments, including sticky rice with coconut and mango wrapped in banana leaves. Yum! And we did some dancing, too.
You can see that I wore-out a pair of gloves working with the bricks and concrete. I had a second pair along, and I left them with a local worker. He was obviously very happy to have them.
Most of our team will travel on together for some sightseeing including Angkor Wat. We were sad to part ways with many new friends we made here, but happy it's not goodbye to Cambodia just yet.

Hey Glenn, sounds great and photos are too. Hope it's all good. Guess what? Bob and Jules stayed with us, drove them to Burbank airport and Jules forgot her handbag at our house, had to turn back, they missed flight and then drove them to LAX, just like what happened to you.
