Bon Soir from Cameroon

Yes, good evening from Cameroon! My friend Lisa and I had a free day here in Douala, the commercial capital of the country. Tomorrow we move on to the hill town of Buea to join 16 others participating in our 2-week Habitat for Humanity 'build'.
The official language in Cameroon is French, and we used a bit of both French and English to communicate with Maurice (pictured with Lisa), the cab driver who took us on a spin around the city. There were heaping baskets of tomatoes at an open-air market where we were the only light-skinned people in sight. Then we returned to 'acclimate' by the hotel pool.
All is great so far, and there will surely be lots to report as our Cameroon adventure continues. But I don't know about internet access. It may be during, or possibly after, but I'll definitely let you know how it goes . . .
