There is a reason for their titles. Their majesty is definitely a wonder to behold. And they fear no one, as they rule with their prowess and strength.
We watched boy cubs wrestling and playing chase, and a mom and daughter nuzzling, licking and kissing.
But we also saw the other side of things when we watched a pride of lazy, sated lions with the remains of a Cape Buffalo they’d killed. And reality came very close to home when a mom and her two cubs stalked our trip leader on a path in our camp after dark. He took refuge with Wendy and Melissa, who were in the closest tent. But one kept coming, pawing the canvas. And the next morning we saw paw prints all around.
